"A delightful, brilliantly imagined and illustrated picture-story book for young children. Highly coloured, a wonderful rhyming story about Madeleine who has the kind of imagination most young children will have - she builds a moon rocket and flies it to the moon. Enchanting, simply enchanting."
Books Monthly (Young Children's Book of the Month for November)

"I loved this book, because it is fun to imagine things! When Madeleine was going to the moon, I was imagining myself going to the moon, too, and I pretended to take my baby cousin! I would recommend this book to my sister and all my friends, because it is fun and adventurous."
San Francisco Book Review (5/5 stars)

"Honestly this was such a good read with my 6 year old as we enjoyed the story but then had fun looking round our house imagining what items could turn into too. It's a lovely simple idea, written and illustrated wonderfully."

"We absolutely love... this great little story for younger children, full of fun and colour.
We loved the fab pace of the story here, and the gorgeous bold artwork. Most of all though Charlotte loved Madeleine herself, a character she could readily identify with and enjoy reading about."
Read It Daddy!

"A lovely story about a little girl who uses her imagination to create a rocket from the things in her room, and heads off to explore outer space, where she meets aliens and sees many exciting things which are all created from the toys in her room. Since reading this book, we have built our own rocket out of boxes and sofa cushions and the children have been blasting off to the moon, meeting alien teddies and collecting moon rock building blocks.
The book is beautifully illustrated in a way that appeals to both adults and children, and really helps to tell the story. The gently rhyming text is a pleasure to read, and easy for the kids to follow, understand and read for themselves."
Family Fever

"I loved the rhyming words because they were fun.. The book was funny and fantastic."
Mango Bubbles Books (5/5 stars)

"Brilliantly illustrated. A fun-filled romp through a child’s imagination. It’s a wonderful book to share with a young one."
Inkspokes

"A truly magical story which will capture the imagination of every child."
Jane Ramones, Kiddiroo

"What a wonderfully imaginative book, full of lovely, colourful pictures that are sure to capture a child's imagination. The author has created a story with a lovely sing-song feeling that kids will love. I can't wait to see Madeleines next adventures."
