Following on from the book launch in Preston Waterstones on 27th July, Peter Lynas and Charlie Roberts will be in Blackpool Waterstones on Sunday 28th July to perform a reading of Madeleine Goes to the Moon. We will also be signing any copies purchased at the event so if you are in the area then please come along and show some support!

Madeleine Goes to the Moon will be available from Friday 26th September, but on Saturday 27th September Preston Waterstones will be holding the official launch event for the book!  Peter Lynas and Charlie Roberts will both be in store and signing copies of the book so please come along, say hello and show some support.

If you are busy on Saturday 27th or Preston is just that bit too far, then watch this space, as we already have more events planned for September and October.

20 days and counting......

Madeleine Goes to the Moon went to the printers yesterday and so I should have a printed proof copy to review in the next week or so. It looks great on screen so I'm really excited to see what the completed version looks like now (and hopefully there's no mistakes in there).

It should also be available to order on Amazon soon, so if you are interested at all then please do take a look (it's not quite there just yet) and please if you do decide to order a copy then reviews are hugely appreciated. Thanks!

After some amazingly hard and dedicated work by Charlie, I've managed to see a complete set of all of the illustrations for Madeleine Goes to the Moon today and I can say with great confidence that it looks absolutely amazing, Hopefully the publisher has managed to get a finished copy off to the printers today, but even if it's tomorrow it looks like we are definitely going to be ready in time for launch.

As for the launch, well we have a launch event planned in a high street book store and are filling up our September/October calendar with other book signing events. If you are able to then please come along and support one of them - I'll announce them tomorrow once I'm certain that everything has gone according to plan and then keep pestering people closer to the date...

I reviewed an almost complete version of Madeleine Goes to the Moon tonight after some amazing work by Charlie and the publisher. There's just a few more illustrations left to be completed and a bit of tweaking here and there and then it will be ready to go to the printers for initial proof copies. It's amazing just how much work goes into getting everything just right and it's impossible to appreciate the thought and effort involved until you experience it first hand. However, the book is looking really good so it will be great to get an actual printed version to check. It will also give me something to show to stores, schools etc.

We've got an exciting book launch arranged and a couple of other book signings sorted so news on those to follow...

Well it's now 1st September, so it's the start of the month in which my first book will be released! Things are a little strange for me at the moment as there is a relative calm before the storm, but I know that Charlie is working feverishly behind the scenes to get the illustrations finished for tomorrow!! The publisher is poised and ready to take the baton and pull everything together in order to ensure that the first run of books can be completed on time. I'm nervous - but we've received extremely positive comments so far from those select few who have seen the story/illustrations so fingers crossed we can complete on time. 

I'll try and post daily from now on if time permits as I am sure the next few weeks are going to be pretty hectic for everyone involved!
