Peter Lynas is Quality Manager, husband and proud father of two who lives in Hesketh Bank in Lancashire.
Peter showed a very early interest in books, learning to read before starting school and losing himself in the fantastic worlds of Dr. Seuss and Richard Scarry.
Although he loved writing stories and poems as a child, it took many years in the wilderness until he found his true vocation. In the meantime Peter continued to write short poems and make up stories for his friends and family but it was having children that made him realise his true audience and decide to dedicate his time to writing.
Peter believes that good Children’s books take on a new lease of life when read aloud. He believes that they should be a pleasure to read and fire the imagination of the child. He also believes that the way that a Children’s story is written is as important, if not more so, than the story itself and places great emphasis on not just rhyme, but also rhythm, musicality and the use of words and sounds. His first published book Madeleine Goes to the Moon is the first in a series about a young girl who sees the world in a different way as she travels to faraway places in her head.
